1. Data We Collect

• Name — entered by you when creating or joining a family.
• Apple ID (email) — provided via Sign in with Apple for authentication.
• Children's ages — specified when adding family members.
• Device token (APNs) — for sending push notifications.
• Chore data — task list, completion history, assignment statuses.
• AI usage logs — token counts for AI requests (no message content).
• AI personalization context — if you fill in the "About you" profile, this text is used for personalization.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Names and family composition — for AI-powered chore distribution.
• Apple ID — for authentication and account recovery.
• Children's ages — to assign age-appropriate tasks.
• APNs token — for push notification delivery.
• Completion history — for fair rotation and statistics.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with advertising or analytics services.

The only third party is Anthropic (Claude API). When generating daily assignments, we send:

• Family member names
• Chore list and completion history
• "About you" profile context (if filled in)

Data is processed in accordance with Anthropic's privacy policy. Anthropic does not use API request data for model training.

4. Data Storage

Data is stored in a MongoDB database on our server. We do not use third-party analytics services, advertising SDKs, or trackers.

5. Security

All connections between the app and server are secured via HTTPS. Authentication is implemented through Sign in with Apple using JWT tokens.

6. Data Deletion

You can request complete deletion of all your family's data through the app (Settings → Delete all data) or by emailing flash286@gmail.com.

7. Children

ChoreBot is designed for use by families. Children's accounts are created and managed by parents. Children do not have their own accounts and do not enter personal data independently.

8. Policy Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page. We will notify you through the app of any significant changes.
